Alleghany County Native Dies At Age 72

Dolly Belle Entsminger Martin, 72, of 215 E. Holly Street, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Lewis Gale Ð Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

Mrs. Martin was born October 7, 1940 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Dorothy Definbaugh Entsminger.

She was a homemaker and an active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was the Church Mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Cale; one sister, Margie Graham and two brothers, Walter "Sonny" Entsminger and Druen Entsminger.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Morris Dean "Buddy" Martin of Covington; four daughters, Dawn Crizer and her husband, Paul and Christal Withrow, all of Covington; Lisa Martin of Grottoes and Sandra Siler and her husband, Lelan of Elkton; fives sons, Dean Martin of Buckanan; Johnny Martin and his wife, Tracey of Lexington Park, MD; Gary Martin and his wife, Colleen of Lapeer, MD; Darren Martin and his wife, Gail of Covington and Greg Martin of Elkton. 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, June Smith and her husband, James of Covington and Charolotte Richmond of Clifton Forge; and a number nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church on Sunday, December 23, 2012.

In keeping with Dolly's wishes, her body has been cremated

. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012 in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Duncan officiating.

The family suggests that memorial donations in Mrs. Martin's name may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 230 E. Oak Street, Covington, VA.
