Obituary for James Wesley Sizemore James Wesley Sizemore
World War II Veteran Was Owner, Operator Of Sizemore And Sons Excavating

James Wesley Sizemore, 85, of 1210 Valley Ridge Road, Covington, Virginia, died Friday December 28, 2012 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

He was born December 30, 1926 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Anderson and Jessie Hubbard Sizemore.

Mr. Sizemore served his county in the United Stares Army during World War II.

He was the was the owner/operator of Sizemore and Sons Excavating.

Mr. Sizemore was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sizemore was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pearl Caldwell Sizemore in 2004 and also by two brothers, Raymond Sizemore and John Sizemore and four sisters, Beulah Williams, Franklie Rogers, Birdie Miller and Ella Sizemore; and his best friend, dog "Sheba".

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, James "Doc" Sizemore and Steve and Debbie Sizemore, all of Covington; two daughters and sons-in-law and Patricia and Alvis Jackson of Low Moor and Robin and Billy Burhenn, of Covington; three grandsons, Brandon Sizemore of Buffalo, NY; David Burhenn and Derek Burhenn, both of Covington; three granddaughters, Heather and Jody Eggleston of Covington; Ashley and Brandon Forbes of Ruckersville and Damona Jackson of Low Moor; six great grandchildren, Chloe Eggleston, Kinley Eggleston, Kiley Forbes, Kelsie Forbes, Jaron Luke Jackson, and Kaelyn Forbes; one brother, Kenneth A. and Annie Sizemore of Covington; and one sister, Rita Hoke Kasinger of Covington; several nieces and nephews, including, Angelia Anderson; special great nephew, Chuck Elmore.

The funeral service was held 2:00 Monday, December 31, 2012 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sonny Wiseman officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mike Warren.

The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Sizemore, David Burhenn, Derek Burhenn, Jan Batten, Paul Vance and Richard Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Vaughn Roberts and Ernie Franson.

The familyreceived friends Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
