Clarence (Cubby) Franklin Argenbright, 76, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 in Golden Living Center.

Mr. Argenbright was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alma Hamilton Argenbright; grandmother, Lora Statome, who raised him, and a sister, Petey.

Cubby was retired from Staunton Correctional Center.

Surviving are three children, Denise (Dee) Higgins, and husband, Sidney, of Buena Vista, Nita Thrasher and husband, Ben, of Buchanan and Chris Bosserman and wife, Tina, of Staunton; six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

His family would like to extend special recognition to the staff at Golden Living Center and the Hospice staff, who were there when they were so badly needed.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
