Hubert Lee Persinger, 82, formerly of Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge.

He was born March 25, 1931 at Eagle Rock, a son of the late Nancy Persinger Boxley.

Mr. Persinger was employed in the construction industry in the area for a number of years.

He was member of First Baptist Church and was an animal lover.

Surviving are his sister, Bernice Hunter of Covington; numerous cousins including first cousin and care giver Sheila Halsey of Seat Pleasant, MD, who was raised in the home with Mr. Persinger.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Arritt Funeral Home on Saturday.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Halsey officiating.

The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
