Former H. O. Canfield Inspector Dies At Age 84

Frances Turner Burks Hiler, age 84, of 324 King George Ave. SW, Roanoke, Virginia, formerly of Clifton Forge, VA, died Monday April 8, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1928 in Clifton Forge, to the late Harry Thomas Turner, SR. and the late Betty Frances Fridley Turner Crowder.

She was a retired Inspector with the Former H.O. Canfield, Company.

Frances was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry T. Turner, JR, and a sister Jane Crowder.

She is survived by a son; Clinton "Kenny" Burks, of Clifton Forge, a daughter; Elizabeth "Cindy" Burks Willingham, of Winchester; two grandchildren: John A. Willingham, of Winchester, and Kimberly Funk, of Cumberland, Maryland; 10 great-grandchildren: Zachary, Jetta, Maria, Carlos, Sloane, Bella, Reese, Chrystian, Autumyn, and Blythe, and a brother; Charles Crowder.

In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated and a private service will be scheduled.
