Frances Josephine Patterson, 92, of Buena Vista, Vvirginia, died on April 11, 2013 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

She was born on June 15, 1920, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Issiac Beverly and Nanny Burch Beverly.

Mrs. Patterson was of the Monacan descent.

Surviving are her three daughters, Odie Ann Nicklis, Dicie Lee Clark, and Mittie Ellen Goldman; one son, Layne W. Beverly; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, Va., 540-261-5510.
