Obituary for Lowell Denton Wright Lowell Denton Wright
Was Co-Owner Of Wright's Roofing Company

Lowell Denton Wright, 76, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Golden Living Center at Clifton Forge.

Mr. Wright was born November 20, 1936, in Alleghany County, a son of the late Leslie and Margie Wright.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Wright; a daughter, Margie Jones; a granddaughter, Shanna Wright, a great granddaughter, Michaela Elise Dame; his twin sister, Stella Mae Wright; sisters, Edna Sprague, Madelyn Adler and Mary Ethel Wright; six brothers, Emmett Wright, Gordon Wright, Arthur Wright, Richter Wright, Lonnie Wright and Leonard Wright and a son-in-law, Donnie Campbell.

Denton was the retired co-owner of Wright's Roofing Company.

He loved hunting, fishing and digging ginseng. He had a love of music and enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo and harmonica.

Surviving are five sons, Charles Wright of Lynchburg; Haven Wright and his wife, Glenda, Robert Wright and his wife, Judy, Dale Wright and his wife, Pam, and Tony Wright, all of Covington; four daughters and sons-in-law, Stella and Billy DePriest, Shirley and Jeff Lamb, Tammy and Shorty Wolfe and Melinda and Ed Yancey, all of Covington; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Abraham and Emma Wright, Joseph and Carolyn Wright and Walter and Jackie Wright, all of Covington; two sisters, Agnes Thomas and Helen Fitzgerald, both of Covington and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment will be made ion Lone Star Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Haven Wright, Jr. Brandon Wright, Joseph Haven Wright, Sr., Carl Wolfe,Jr., Kenny Jones, Jr., Travis Bogar, Robert Phillips and Jeff Lamb. The family received friends Saturday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his granddaughter, Angie and Stuart Graham at 2405 Hot Springs Road.

The family suggests that donations in Mr. Wright's name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice; P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
