Allen Bruce Sales, of 969 Old County Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at his residence.

He was born February 19, 1940 in Clifton Forge to the late Stephen Anthony and Pauline Kern Sales.

He was a retired electrical engineer for Hercules, Inc., a life member of I.E.E.E., and an avid hunter, fisherman and musician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Goin Sales in February of 2013 and two brothers, P.A. Shelton and Steve Sales, Jr.

He is survived by a daughter, Jane Clauss and husband, Michael of Herndon; a son, William Kern "Will" Sales and wife, Dawn of Clifton Forge; a brother-in-law, Bill Goin of Clifton Forge; a sister-in-law, Libby Shelton of Staunton; four grandchildren, Grace Sales, Jacob Sales, Mary Clauss and Sarah Clauss; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

There will be no services.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Shenandoah Autism Center, 550 Pine Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
