Obituary for Joe Knight (Bo) Tucker, Jr. Joe Knight (Bo) Tucker, Jr.
Self-Employed Carpenter Dies At Age 68

Mr. Joe Knight (Bo) Tucker, Jr., age 68, of Hematite, Virginia, died June 13, 2013, at LewisGale Hospital Ð Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was the husband of Dorothy Lee Massie Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was born January 26, 1945 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Joe Knight Tucker, Sr. and Matilda Ann Tingler Tucker.

A lifetime resident of this area, he was self-employed as a carpenter. Bo was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Tucker is survived by three sons, Christopher Allen Tucker of Covington, Kenneth Eugene "J.R." Tucker of Culpeper and Joseph Harvey Tucker of Covington; two daughters, Debra T. Persinger of Covington and Lisa Tucker Fraser of Covington; eleven grandchildren, Tracy, Tammy, Terrie, Amanda, Dusty, Christopher, Nikki, Mary, Mikey, Marques and Morgan who resided with Mr. Tucker; six great grandchildren, Cody, Jacob, Hayden, Isaac, Eli, and Isabella; four brothers, Wilbur Lane Tucker of Hot Springs, Charles Samuel Tucker of Clifton Forge, Donald Eugene Tucker of Covington and William Daniel Tucker of Roanoke; and one sister, Mrs. Leola Mason of Clifton Forge.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by one grandson, Travis Scott Persinger in 2010 and a brother, Ryland Tucker.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Garland Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery, Organ Cave, WV.

Pallbearers will be members of the family attending the service.

Alternate pallbearer will be Charles Smith.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Debra Persinger, 503 E. Phillip Street, Covington. Arrangements by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
