Obituary for Robert Rice Sinclair Robert Rice Sinclair
South Carolina Native Dies At Age 69

Robert Rice Sinclair, age 69, formerly of Roanoke, Virginia, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at The Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge.

He was born April 8, 1944 in Heath Springs, South Carolina, to the late Hubert and Louise Sandifer Sinclair.

He was a retired musician and former Minister of Music for Greene Memorial United Methodist Church in Roanoke, and was co-founder of the Southwest Virginia Opera Society, now known as Opera of Roanoke.

He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Sinclair of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Tennette Sloan; one son, Chris Sinclair of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a sister, Julie Gasque of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated and there will be no funeral services at this time.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
