Obituary for Larue Gray (Lee) Campbell Larue Gray (Lee) Campbell
Found Of Campbell's Paint And Body Shop Was Buena Vista Resident

Larue Gray (Lee) Campbell, 84, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Durham, N.C. after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Lee was born November 24, 1928 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Lacy Ward Campbell and Myrtle Edith Moran Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and William Campbell; two sisters, Francis Simms and Betty Ramsey; and a special companion, Bessie Webb Reynolds.

Lee was the founder and the owner of Campbell's Paint and Body Shop.

Surviving are his children, Peggy McCormick, Linda Floyd and husband, Larry, Gregory Campbell and wife, Shelia, Denise Campbell, Beth Avery, Darrell Gray Campbell; siblings, Earl Campbell and wife, Dessie, Marie Braham, Mildred Earhart and husband, Bill, Maxine Anthony and husband, Gill; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; special caretaker, Sharon Reynolds; special pets, Charlie and Kallie.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013, at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain and the Rev. Butch Grow officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
