Rodney Leroy Wallace, 53, of Roanoke, Virginia, died Sunday October 6, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Wallace was born December 27, 1959 in Covington, the son of Dorothy Chambers Wallace of Covington and the late Hollis L Wallace, Sr.

He was a retired maintenance worker for ITT in Roanoke.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters, Diane Wallace and Debbie Wallace, both of Covington; three brothers, Hollis Wallace Jr. and wife, Dollie of Silver Springs, MD, Charles Wallace of Richmond and girlfriend, Pearl Miller, Reggie Wallace and wife, Freda of Tacoma Park, MD; his fiance, Brenda Leftwich of Roanoke; a special family friend, Diane Johnson, and also a number of nieces and nephews including Deonte Wallace and Deandre Wallace, both of Covington.

The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Pine Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Harper officiating.

The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
