Obituary for Lois Ruth Banks Lois Ruth Banks
Massachusetts Native Was Bookkeeper, Account For Lexington Christian Academy

Lois Ruth Banks, age 88, of The Highland House, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at The Highland House.

She was born June 6, 1925, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Kenneth A. and Marion Burns Brooks.

She was a bookkeeper and accountant for the Lexington Christian Academy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan E. Banks, Jr. and a brother, Kenneth A. Brooks, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Peters and husband, Gene of Clifton Forge, and Marilyn DePasquale of West Palm Beach, Florida; a sister, Barbara Critchley of Live Oak, Florida; four grandchildren, Amanda Johnson and husband, Ryan, Luke Peters, Benjamin DePasquale and Nicole DePasquale; and a step great grandson, Dylan Johnson.

The family would like to give special thanks to the many friends from Central Advent Christian Church, who have loved and cared for her during the six years she has been in Clifton Forge, and also her friends at the Adult Daycare, Highland House, and The Woodlands.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
