Obituary for Charles Wesley Bostic, Jr. Charles Wesley Bostic, Jr.
Self-Employed Painter Dies At Age 83

Charles Wesley Bostic, Jr., 83, of Scott Hill in Clifton Forge, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning, November 28, 2013, from Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Mr. Bostic was born June 22, 1930, at Sweet Springs, WV, a son of the late Charles W. Bostic, Sr. and Mabel Clarkson Bostic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Louise Andrews, in 1999.

Welsey was a retired self-employed painter.

Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Barber, of Blythe GA; seven grandchildren, Cristina Barber, Shane Andrews and Christopher Barber, all of Blythe, GA, Lorie May and David McCauley, both of Covington, and Cheryl Miller and Brian Andrews, both of Louisiana, MO; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Crowder and her husband, Richard, and Norma Webb, all of Covington, Florence Lindsay of Hot Springs and Hazel Clinevell of Salem; one brother, Garland Bostic and his wife, Donna, of Shepherdsville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Webb, Wilbur Carpenter, Eddie Fisher, Mike Fisher, Brian Porterfield, Hayden Porterfield, Jerry Webb, Jr. and Shane Lewis.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. George Clarkson officiating assisted by the Rev. Jim Smith.

The family will receive friends Sunday for one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of Evelyn and Richard Crowder at 1101 Cherokee Trail.
