Shannon Hughes of Lexington, Virginia, was born on October 13, 1969 and died November 28, 2013.

Shannon's life was surrounded by special people who loved her and took care of her.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joane Brown, who devoted her life to Shannon, and made sure her every want and need was met, her grandfather James Brown, and her aunt, Diane Brown.

She is survived by her Mom, Connie Clark; her special Dad, Charley Clark, who came into her life when she was 5 years old when he married her Mom, Connie; her brother, Chase Clark and his wife, Jaime; her sister, Chy Clark, who came by every day to check on Shannon and make sure she had music to listen to. Then there was Martha Mason, who spoiled Shannon every minute she was with her, with facials and spa baths; an uncle, Larry Brown and his family, Jean and Ryan; a special doctor, Dr. Pickral, who came to the house to see her; and the nurses (past and present) from Home Health.

Shannon always had a smile on her face, loved being outside, her music, going for rides and her family.

She will be sadly missed by all that loved her.

Arrangements will be private and are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home.
