Mary Virginia Williams Cunningham, age 86, of The Glebe, 200 Glebe Blvd, Daleville, Virginia, and formerly of Pinehurst, North Carolina died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at The Glebe.

She was born May 8, 1927 in Meridian, Mississippi, to the late Mack Grady and Winnie Graham Williams.

She was retired from the United States Civil Service and was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Cunningham; a brother, Robert Williams; and three sisters, Faye Marshall, Sarah Parrish and Catherine Crowder.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Cvizic and husband, Mike of Clifton Forge; a granddaughter, Hannah Cvizic of Clifton Forge and her friend, Austin Gibson; a sister-in-law, Helen Williams of Lexington; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the residents and staff of The Glebe for their excellent care.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no services at this time.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
