Obituary for Warren (Chuckie) Alan Rucker Warren (Chuckie) Alan Rucker
Bath County Native Was Homestead Housing Supervisor

Mr. Warren (Chuckie) Alan Rucker, age 56, of Hot Springs, Virginia, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at his residence.

He was the husband of Julie Peters Rucker.

Mr. Rucker was born March 28, 1957 in Bath County, the son of Minnie Woodson Rucker and the late Noah Warren Rucker.

He was employed as a supervisor in employee housing by the Homestead, where he had thirty-one years of service.

Chuckie was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, "piddling" with his wood pile, and riding the lawn mower.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Rucker is survived by one son, Brian Alan Rucker and wife, Jessica of Hot Springs; two sisters, Sherry Kimberlin and husband, Mike and Sharon Rucker Robertson and husband, Howard Lynn, all of Hot Springs; fatherŠin-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Diane Peters; sister-in-law, Debbie Swearengin and husband, Eddie; brother-in-law, Edward Peters and wife, Martha; a special aunt, Delores Thomas; special first cousin, Michelle Austin and husband, Danny; five nieces, Heather, Ashley, Cassie, Allison and Kelly; and two nephews, Levi and Logan.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Puhle, Ray Jenkins, Danny Austin, Lynn Robertson, Mike Kimberlin, Ed Peters, Eddie Swearengin, Levi Peters and Logan Robertson.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
