Paul Marion Norvell, age 83, of 609 Market Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany in Low Moor.

He was born October 5, 1930 in Iron Gate to the late Stuart Lee and Mattie Mae Plogger Norvell.

He retired from Panasote of Iron Gate after thirty-eight years.

He was a member of the Virginia National Guard and loved "coon" hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Rodenizer and Faye Ruff.

He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Nancy Via Norvell of Iron Gate, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Ned Alderman officiating. Interment immediately followed. There was no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at the residence.
