Francis Cleveland (Snookie) Brantley died May 26, 2014 at home, 3430 Edgemont Drive, Orange, Texas.
Born August 30, 1935 at home in Buena Vista, Virginia, he was the son of Floyd Bartow Brantley Sr. and Mildred Virginia Keiser Brantley, both deceased; sister, Phyllis Brantley Watts (oldest sibling); brother, Milton Brantley (next to youngest), both deceased.
He graduated from Parry McCluer High School in Buena Vista and worked at Bernson SIlk Mill in Buena Vista, before going to work at Owens Illinois Paper Mill in Big Island, Va.
He later moved to Big Island with his wife, Annie Dudley Brantley (deceased) plus Mark Steven Brantley (oldest), Pamela Brantley Harris, (only daughter) and Larry Dale Brantley (youngest).
He then moved to Orange, Texas, from Big Island, Virginia after receiving a promotion to a better job with the same company.
His oldest brother, Floyd Bartow (Wewa) Brantley Jr., lives at Linden Avenue, Buena Vista, VA 24416; youngest brother, Willie David Brantley, P. O. Box 7962, Roanoke VA 24019.
