Rockbridge Native Was Lauderdale A.R.P. Church Member

Virginia May Clemmer Hall, 88, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista, Virginia.

Born February 21, 1926 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late William Crawford Clemmer and Dolly Goodbar Clemmer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Hall; two brothers, Wilford "Bud" Clemmer, Curtis Clemmer; and two sisters, Nathalie McCullouch and Ferrell Amos.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church and was a retired nurse.

Surviving are special niece and nephew, Major and Donna Tomlinson of Lexington; two sisters, Bernice Campbell and Patricia Hylton, both of Madison Heights; two brothers, John Clemmer and Phillip Clemmer, both of Buchanan; and many other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling, III officiating. Burial followed at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
