Peggy Sue Nicely Dunbar, age 55, of 2358 Woodtown Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her residence.

She was born September 21, 1958 in Clifton Forge to Lula Belle Nicely Nicely of Clifton Forge and the late Garnett Clayton Nicely, Sr.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed horses and knitting.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Dunbar and a son, Roy Clayton "Clay" Dunbar, both of Glen Wilton, Eagle Rock; her mother, Lula Belle Nicely of Clifton Forge; four sisters, Barbara Wright of Clifton Forge, Kathy Nicely of Glen Wilton, Patricia Stanley of Glen Wilton and Dinah Johnson of Hot Springs; three brothers, Garnett Nicely, Jr. of Clifton Forge, Mark Nicely of Hot Springs and Wayne Nicely of Clifton Forge; a grandson, Anthony Michael Weese; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her family's wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Glen Wilton United Methodist Church, Glen Wilton with Reverend Ray Sandifer officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
