Covington Resident Worked With Bath County Supply, Kroger, And Wal-Mart
Mrs. Margaret Bowyer Miller, age 65, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, August 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was the wife of Nathan Lee Miller.
Mrs. Miller was born October 21, 1948 in Hinton, WV, the daughter of the late Glenna Cochran Bowyer Lemons and Claude Bowyer.
She was a graduate of Greenville High School, class of 1966.
During her working career, Margaret worked as a clerk for Bath County Supply for four years, as a cook in the deli for Kroger for six years before retiring as the jewelry manager for Walmart after twenty years of service.
She loved flowers, jewelry, and going shopping. Most of all, Margaret loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of forty-eight years, Nathan, Mrs. Miller is survived by one daughter, Angela Faith Miller and special friend, Daniel Megginson of Clifton Forge; one son, Nathan Wyatt Miller and wife, Theresa Erb-Miller of Roanoke; grandchildren, Aimee Wease and husband, Brandon, Lukas Miller; four siblings, Edna Simmons and husband, Curtis of Toledo, OH, Charles Bowyer and wife, Mary of Erin, TN, Patricia Wilson and husband, Daryel of Draper, and C.G. Bowyer and partner, Matt Burton of Richmond; and special friend, Nancy Creech.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Ratliff of Pulaski, WV.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Miller officiating, assisted by Rev. Frank Sizemore.
Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Seth Miller, Ben Miller, Michael Gillespie, Wayne Gillespie, Melvin Miller, and Leroy Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Miller, Ricky Miller and Brandon Wease.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes in the name of Margaret Miller be made to Moss Run Baptist Church, 105 Moss Run Road, Covington, VA 24426.
