Korean War Veteran Was First Church Of The Nazarene Member

Mr. Kenneth Anderson Sizemore, age 85, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his residence.

He was the husband of Annie Hubbard Sizemore.

Mr. Sizemore was born June 21, 1929 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Anderson Sizemore and Jessie Hubbard Sizemore.

He served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War from 1948 until 1952. Following his basic training, Kenneth attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was stationed with the 58th Ordnance Ammunition Company in Okinawa, Japan, before serving with the J.L.C. in Sipurrow Hokkaido, Japan, until his discharge.

He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sizemore is survived by one daughter, Angela Sizemore Anderson; two sons, Kenneth Wade Sizemore and wife, Debra and Gary Wayne Sizemore and wife, Joan, all of Covington; nine grandchildren, Jessica Sizemore, Kasey Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Robert Webb, Cody Sizemore, Angela Hague, Jason Raether, Nicholas Raether and Joshua Raether; two special great granddaughters, Haley Ryder and Caylee Anderson; and one great great grandson, Remington Nicely; one sister, Rita Kessinger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sizemore was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 18, 2014 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in Sizemore Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon from noon until service time at Loving Funeral Home.
