Obituary for Bianca Jones (Bi) Plasters Bianca Jones (Bi) Plasters
Henry County Native Was Longtime Granbery United Methodist Church Member

Bianca Jones (Bi) Plasters, 1907 Evergreen Road, Covington, Virginia, age 101, joined her family and friends in heaven Saturday, August 23, 2014.

She was born in Henry County, June 12, 1913 to her parents Charlie Lee Jones and Onie Burnette Jones.

Her son, Raymond Earl "Ray" Plasters, Jr. died November 14, 1986 and her husband of sixty seven and a half years of marriage, Raymond Earl Plasters, Sr., died January 12, 2002.

She had three brothers and three sisters, who also preceded her in death. She was the last leaf on the tree.

Survivors are her daughter, Marilyn, and her husband, James Al Garlick, of Ashland; granddaughter, Dana and husband, Monty Roller of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Plasters of New Jersey; grandson, Raymond Earl "Trey" Plasters, III of Covington; a brother-in-law, Robert Plasters and wife, Sylvia of Roanoke; and many nieces and nephews.

She and her husband, Ray, were married June 18, 1935 in Green Hill Church of the Brethren, Salem, VA. They moved to Covington in 1945. The family were members of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, where Bi was a member of Philathia Sunday school class, Berean Bible Circle and Worship Committee. She was an avid gardener and made floral arrangements for many years for the altar. She loved her church and participated in all activities.

She was a member of Covington Woman's Club for fifty-eight years, the Jackson River Garden Club, several bridge clubs, the Historical Society and a volunteer for Mountain Regional Hospice.

A memorial service will be conducted at Granbery Memorial p.m. with Rev. James Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Gilliland.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 W, Main Street, Covington, VA 24426.
