Obituary for Lawana Jackson Dameron Lawana Jackson Dameron
West Virginia Native Was Lone Star Baptist Church Member, Active Relay For Life Advocate

Lawana Jackson Dameron, 73, of 3909 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday morning, September 16, 2014 after a short illness at her residence, with her family at her side.

She was born May 10, 1941 in Hinton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian Basham Jackson.

Mrs. Dameron was a former Deli Clerk with former Kroger in Covington.

She worked with LOA, Area Agency on Aging, and was active in Relay for Life.

She was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Paul B. Dameron of Covington; three daughters, Debra Kearney of Charleston, WV; Teresa Collins and Paula May and her husband, John May III all of Covington; one son, Paul A . Dameron and his wife, Stephanie of Covington; two granddaughters, Ashley Dameron and Katie Dameron, both of Covington.

The funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Earwood officiating.

Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Frank Hepler, Eddie Mann, John Mann, Larry Deacon and Kenneth Benham.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men of Mission.

The family received friends Thursday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
