Retired Hardee's Biscuit Maker Dies At Age 65

Lorraine Lewis Godfrey, age 65, of 204 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born April 3, 1949 in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Edna Lewis Moss.

She was a retired biscuit maker for Hardee's in Clifton Forge and was a member of Jackson Memorial Temple.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her laugh, and her love of people. She was the best grandmother ever.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by several uncles and an aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Godfrey of Clifton Forge; three daughters, Lorraine Denise Hunter, Wanda Rena Godfrey and Rebecca Lynn Godfrey, all of Clifton Forge; and three grandchildren, Micah Allen Godfrey, Daneesha Delrae Hunter and Morrison Alexander Godfrey.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend De Lawrence Godfrey officiating.
