Obituary for James N. Watts III James N. Watts III
Mohawk Retiree Was U. S. Air Force Veteran

James N. Watts III, of Glasgow, Virginia, died on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at home with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his father, James N. Watts Jr.; and his mother, Phyllis Coleman Watts.

He is survived by his wife, Edith P. Watts; son, Jamison Grimm and wife, Sophia, of Yorktown; daughter, Erin Watts Martin and husband, Rick, of Newport News; son, Malcolm Shane Watts and wife, Sarah, of Glasgow; seven grandchildren; brother, Daniel Watts of Hampton; sister, Sandra Watts Gardner and husband, Larry, of Poquoson, Va.; brother, Richard Watts of Hampton; mother-in-law, Dean Floyd of Glasgow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved and adored him.

He was retired from Mohawk Industries.

He was an Air Force veteran who served two tours during the Vietnam War and was exposed to Agent Orange.

He loved spending his time with his family, especially his grandkids.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at his son, Shane's house, 1826 Pineview Dr., Glasgow, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450; Glasgow Lifesaving Crew, P.O. Box 421, Glasgow, VA 24555 or Glasgow Fire Department, 924 Rockbridge Road, Glasgow VA 24555.
