Natural Bridge Station Resident Dies At Age 82

Gladys Ginger Collins, 82, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at home.

Born October 16, 1932 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Ethel Mae Powell Ginger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Collins; a son, Larry Collins; brother, George W. Ginger; and a sister, Evelyn G. Rogers.

Surviving are a brother, Charles M. Ginger of Natural Bridge Station; two sisters, Edna G. Robinson of Lexington and Minnie G. Garrett of Lynchburg; two sisters-in-law, Kay C. Ginger and Jean C. Wines; and numerous nieces; and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Glasgow Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington. Contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexinhton, VA, 24450.
