Rebecca Gladys Wilson Jenkins, 88, of Natural Bridge Station, Va., died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at her home.

She was born on July 15, 1926, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late George W. Wilson and Lou Agnes Goff Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Cornelius Jenkins; four brothers; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Arnolds Valley Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Jenkins, of Natural Bridge Station; three sons, John W. Firkin and wife, Carolyn, of Evington, Va., Tony Jenkins and wife, Nancy, of Haw River, N.C., and David Jenkins of Natural Bridge Station; one sister, Alice Austin of Natural Bridge Station; nine grandchildren, Scott, Shelia, Shannon, Shelly, Adam, Kelli, Fallon, Daniel, and Cody; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Arnolds Valley Southern Baptist Church with the Pastor Donald Stine and the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial followed at Glasgow Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the funeral home.
