Alleghany County Native Worked With Greenbrier Hotel Housekeeping Department

Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Adcock Ruble, age 93, of Covington, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at White Sulphur Springs Family Care, White Sulphur Springs, WV.

She was the wife of the late James Harold Ruble, Sr.

Mrs. Ruble was born April 13, 1921 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late David Walker Adcock and Mattie Hepler Adcock.

She was employed by the Greenbrier Hotel in the housekeeping department before her retirement.

Mrs. Ruble was of the Presbyterian faith.

Mrs. Ruble is survived by one son, Jerry M. Ruble of Covington; three daughters, Judy Baker and husband, Arden of Sweet Springs, Janet Porterfield and husband, Keith of Gap Mills, and Jackie Burns and husband, Delmas of Covington; one daughter-in-law, Louise Ruble of Salem; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and one very special friend, Melissa Seldomridge.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ruble was preceded in death by one son, James H. Ruble, Jr. and one brother.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Atkin officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to the charity of your choice.
