Eileen Hand, age 87, was born in Baltimore, MD on December 6, 1927.

She died at home, February 7, 2015, of congestive heart failure.

She was the daughter of William T. and Cecilia S. Caswell and survived them as well as her brother, Bernard.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Jess, and two sons, Jess and Bradley, along with their respective wives, Amy and Peggy, as well as their two grandchildren, Jonathan and Laura, all of whom reside in Richmond.

Typical of her generation, she was a stay-at-home mom and did a superb job of raising the family. Her outside interests were many and varied, but included equestrian activities, golf, flower arranging, and in her later years, traveling.

As she wished, her remains were cremated and will be interred over her mother's grave.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jamie B. Lloyd officiating. A private interment will be held.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Loving Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2014, between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
