Obituary for Stephen E. Hoke Stephen E. Hoke
Marine Corps Veteran Was Retired Heavy Equipment Operator

Mr. Stephen E. Hoke, age 73, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, WV.

He was the husband of Donna Robbins Hoke.

Mr. Hoke was born February 17, 1942 in Covington, the son of the late Dewey Edgar Hoke and Janutia Armentrout Hoke.

He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

Stephen was employed as a heavy equipment operator by Cleco before his retirement.

Mr. Hoke was an avid Harley Motorcycle rider, loved to watch boxing and refurbish old cars.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hoke is survived by his children, David Hoke and wife, Amber, Michael Hoke and wife, Stella, Annette Waddell, Kathy Hoke Russ, Cathy Garrett, Pamela Logesden and husband, Eric, Donna Sergeant and husband, Shaun, Michelle Schmitt and husband, Rodney, and Tiffany Hunneycutt; three stepsons, Anthony Slayton, William Slayton and Michael Muncy; twenty six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McClintic officiating. Interment will be in Hoke Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Loving Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made toward the funeral expenses in care of Loving Funeral Home, 350 N. Maple Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
