Clifton Forge Native Was C. F. Presbyterian Church Member

Patricia Mae Reynolds Smith, age 66, of 948 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday February 27, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 18, 1948 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Joseph Ivan "Joker" and Lelda Wright Reynolds.

She was a member of Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, where she administered the Nursery for over 30 years. She received the lifetime membership award from the women of the church.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Fire Department ladies Auxiliary and was an avid Virginia Tech Fan.

Patricia loved spending time with her family, friends and her dog. She also loved all animals.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Russell "Rusty" Smith, III; a brother, Truman Reynolds; and two sisters, Nancy Asbury, and Gloria Gibson.

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Sandra Smith of Clifton Forge; a son, Russell B. Smith, IV; two sisters, Evelyn Brooks of Vesuvius and Josephine Nicely of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Johnny Reynolds and wife, Dee of Richmond and Josie Reynolds and wife, Margaret of Millboro; adopted grandchildren, Gary and Emmy Smith; special friends, who she considered her family, Kelsey and Lacy Meyer, Jennifer and Joseph Simpson, Cody Pullen, Wendy Smith and her husband, Will, and Wanda and Jamie Dudley; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Paul Hatcher, Todd Tyler, Chris Fisher, Matthew Bowser, Jerry Nicely, Casey Gibson, Joey Reynolds, and Timmy Reynolds.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457 or to the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, 544 Church Street, Clifton Forge, VA. 24422.
