Covington Property Manager Was Good News Fellowship Church Member

Diane Milgrim Peck of Covington, Va., joined our Lord in Heaven on Saturday, March 21, 2015.

She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, stepmother and friend to so many. She loved her savior, Jesus Christ, and was a joy in so many lives. She never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Peck; her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Rachel Powell; two granddaughters she adored, Claire and Kate; her mother, Alyce Milgrim; her mother-in-law, Ethel Sketchley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Roger and Joan Simpson and Tom and Andrea Dendy; one sister-in-law and husband, Jim and Elaine Allen; one stepsister and husband, Tommy and Anne Robertson; her two nephews, Matthew and Adam; her stepsons, Chris, David, Josh, and Scooter; her stepdaughter, Heidi; and her best friend, Noni Duncan. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends. She loved animals having two dogs, several chickens and a cat and never turned a stray away.

She was born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., on August 18, 1954, and graduated from Galax High School in Galax, Va. She had been a resident of Covington, Va., for many years.

She was Property Manager for Cedar Forest Apartments and had won an award for outstanding employee and mentoring others.

She was a member of Good News Christian Fellowship Church, where she received her Pastor certification.

Diane was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone with a wonderful smile and loving heart. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Trinity Baptist Church, 230 E. Oak Street, Covington, VA, 24426. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church or to Good News Christian Fellowship Church, 214 S. Lexington Avenue, Covington, VA 24426 in her memory.
