Helen Blackburn Coleman, 83, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at her home.

She was born July 15, 1931 in Natural Bridge, she the daughter of the late John M. Blackburn and Julia Fainter Blackburn.

She was a member of the Buena Vista Penecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Elemer Coleman Jr. (Jimmy); her father-in-law, Elmer Coleman; mother-in-law, Lue Stinnett Coleman; brothers, William, Walter, Doug, Edward and Calvin Blackburn, and sister Frances B. Herbert.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Harriet Seaman and husband, Cecil; son, Johnny Coleman and wife, Vickie; two granddaughters, Brooke Baker and husband, Chuck, Megan Martinez and husband, Jeff; three great grandchildren, Jayla and Charlie Baker, Josie Martinez; sister-in-law, Jereline C. Lawrence; cousin and buddy, Kate Renz; friend, Mildred Ward and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice.
