Former College Inn Restaurant Owner Was Covington Resident
Mrs. Alice June Smith Carter Loving, age 88, of Covington, Virginia, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Friendship Health and Rehab, Roanoke.
She was the wife of the late Robert J. Carter, who preceded her in death in 1978.
Mrs. Loving was born January 3, 1927 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Cecil Raymond Smith and Carrie Edenton Smith.
A former resident of Lexington, VA, she was the owner/operator of the College Inn Restaurant.
June was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Loving is survived by one daughter, Brenda Carter Ferguson Smith and husband, David of Hardy; one grandson, Kenneth Carter Coleman; one great grandchild, Kenna Cadan Coleman; and one brother-in-law, Don Carter and wife, Donnie of Natural Bridge.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. David Brown officiating.
