Obituary for Thomas Lee Bogan, Sr. Thomas Lee Bogan, Sr.
Hot Springs Native Worked With The Homestead Resort

Thomas Lee Bogan, Sr., 74, of Bacova, Virginia, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

He was born October 1, 1940 in Hot Springs, a son of the late Wilson Franklin and Elizabeth Bethel Bogan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Imogene Bogan, and his second wife, Ruth Bogan.

Mr. Bogan retired from The Homestead Resort and the hotel ice rink as a hotel ice rink foreman and a plumber after 42 years of service.

Thomas loved cooking, country music and good company with family and friends.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donnie and Shea Bogan and Thomas L. Bogan, Jr, all of Hot Springs; one grandson, Darien Thrasher and his wife, Kim of Covington; two brothers, Ronnie Bogan and his wife, Nancy of Churchville, and Bobby Bogan of Hot Springs; his aunt, Gertrude Bethel of Millboro; cousins, Nettie Lindsay, Betty Hicklin and Billy Hodge, all of Hot Springs, and Ray Cox of Tampa, FL, and his beloved dog, Abby.

In keeping with Mr. Bogan's wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at later date.
