Freddie Frank Parks, 80, of The Woodlands went to be with his Lord and savior on Monday, May 11, 2015.

He was born October 28, 1943 in Bland County, a son of the late William and Josephine Parks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Clark Parks in 2003 and also a son, Michael Parks in 2014.

Mr. Parks was a clerk at the former Downer's Hardware Store and also Sherwin Williams. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Deborah Woodson and her husband, Darren of Covington; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Hylton of GA and Patsy Weydemeyer of AK; one brother, Eddie Parks and his wife, Diane of VA and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating.

The interment will be made in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Bland County, VA.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the Arritt Funeral Home on Thursday.
