Obituary for Thomas Wayne Snead Thomas Wayne Snead
Former Snead Buick Employee Was Christ United Methodist Church Member

Mr. Thomas Wayne Snead, age 66, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, October 2, 2015, at the Woodlands Nursing Home and Rehab, Clifton Forge.

Mr. Snead was born July 29, 1949 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Thomas Junior Snead and Edith Tyree Snead.

A lifetime resident of this community, he was employed by the former Snead Buick, where he detailed vehicles.

Thomas was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He enjoyed outdoors, boy scouts, cars, trains and hunting.

Mr. Snead is survived by his sister, Lelia Snead Fewell of Covington; nieces and nephews, Scott Carper, Lynette Huffman and Leo Samuel Carper, Jr.; three great nieces; one great nephew; and a number of cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Woodie and Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Huffman, Scott Carper, Sam Carper, Thomas May, Greg Paxton, James "Cheeze" Smith and Burdette Crawford.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
