Kathy Anne Hostetter Dodd, age 60, of 1568 S. Greenlawn Ave, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at her residence.

She was born July 13, 1955 in Clifton Forge to Catherine Gibson Hostetter Van Ness and the late Roscoe Hostetter.

She was a lead cook for Douthat State Park Restaurant, and a member of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose.

She attended Iron Gate Community Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oakie and Elsie Hostetter and William and Naomi Gibson.

She is survived by her husband, Charles William "Billy" Dodd of Covington; her mother, Catherine Van Ness of Clifton Forge; three daughters, Lorie Hayslett of Roanoke, Kristie Hayslett of Covington, and Tonya Hayslett of Covington; a son, Jamie Hayslett of Vinton; three sisters, Sandy Sharp Thrasher and husband, Steve of Covington, Vickie Burton of Florida, and Tammy Hostetter of Lexington; a brother, Eric Hostetter, Sr. and wife, Tina of Longdale, Clifton Forge; a grandson, Caleb Bowen; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Buck and Mary Loan.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Edith Snedegar and Reverend W. Pembroke Hall officiating.

A memorial service will be held by The Clifton Forge Women of the Moose during the funeral. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
