Former Seamstress Was Greenwood Presbyterian Church Member

Mrs. Barbara Frances Sartain, age 78, of Hot Springs, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

Mrs. Sartain was born November 15, 1936 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Bertie Spencer Sartain and Mary O'Conner Sartain.

She was employed as a seamstress by the former H.O. Canfield as well as the former Sewing Factory before her retirement.

Barbara was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church.

She loved to do jigsaw puzzles and word finds as well as spending time with her dog, Logan.

Mrs. Sartain is survived by her son, Robert Critzer and wife, Trenia of Hot Springs; her daughter, Dorothy Clark and husband, David Clark, Sr. of Graniteville, SC; three granddaughters, Jessie Garrett and husband, Brandon, Michele Nicely and husband, Phillip and Carleigh Critzer and boyfriend, Mark Toothman; two grandsons, Robbie Critzer and wife, Kayleigh, David Clark, Jr. and wife, April; four great grandchildren, London Critzer, Kelsie Nicely, Marissa Nicely and Hazel Grace Clark; two brothers, Bertie S. Sartain, Jr. and wife, Linda of Covington and William L. Sartain and wife, Linda of Covington; five sisters, Liz Mines of Covington, Beverly Basham and husband, Andrew of Sumter, SC, Mary Webb of Covington, Norma Benedict and husband, Gary of Geneseo, NY and Ida Scott of Covington.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sartain was preceded in death by one son, Richard Allen Critzer in 1967.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Burns officiating.

Interment will follow in Hoke Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
