Bath County Native Was Longtime Teacher's Aid, Sharon School Secretary

Louise Morgan Nicely, age 88 of 4817 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at Lewis Gale Hospital- Alleghany in Low Moor, Va.

She was born January 30, 1927 in Bath County, Virginia, to the late William Cornelius and Myrtle Putman Morgan.

She spent most of her growing up years in Botetourt County and was the Salutatorian of the 1947 graduating class of Eagle Rock High School.

She attended Phillips Business College in Lynchburg, Virginia and graduated in 1948.

She was a member of the Lone Star Advent Christian Church, where she loved singing in the church choir and was a member of the Women's Home and Foreign Mission Society.

Louise loved teaching and taught in many church settings including Sunday School. She also touched many lives as a teachers' aid and secretary at Sharon Elementary School in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

She loved working outside in the garden. Louise had a huge work ethic.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wilson Nicely, Jr., a brother Elmer Elwood "Buddy" Morgan, three sisters, Mae Corker, Ethel Morgan and Emma Jean Myers.

She is survived by her children, William Lloyd "Bill" Nicely of Clifton Forge, and Ann Louise Nicely of Fairmont, West Virginia; also a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Star Advent Christian Church with the Reverend Doug Moore officiating assisted by Reverend Grover Nicely and Reverend Louis Dodd.

Interment will follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, Va.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
