Clifton Forge Native Dies At Age 66

Rosa Linda Morris Belcher, age 66, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Ridgevue Apartments # 606, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at The Brian Center - Alleghany, Low Moor.

Linda was born November 19, 1948 in Clifton Forge to the late James David and Garnette Almeda Smith Morris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Belcher, Sr. and a brother, Sherman Smith.

She is survived by a son, Jerry W. Belcher, Jr. and wife, Dawn of Clifton Forge; a grandson, Seth A. Belcher of Roanoke; a step grandson, Aaron W. Gregg of Clifton Forge; two brothers, James "Doody" Morris and wife, Faye of Clifton Forge and Michael Morris; a sister, Shelia Smith of Covington; a number of nieces and nephews; and her special friends, the Taylor family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend W. Pembroke Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Gregg, Chris Wiley, David Marshall, Todd Crance, Timmy Taylor and Mike Taylor.

The family will visit with friends on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Alleghany Highlands Division, C/O Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
