Patricia Simpson McClung, age 79, of 18681, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her residence.

She was born October 12, 1936 to the late Lee and Mattie Fridley Simpson.

She was a cafeteria worker for Botetourt County Public Schools.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Wesley L. "Mac" McClung of Eagle Rock; two daughters, Jeanne Persinger and husband, Larry, and Kim Shifflett and husband, Jerry; two sons, Brian McClung and Todd McClung; a sister, Jean Fridley of Clifton Forge; a brother, Paul Kidd of Salem; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no services at this time. However, the family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, December 29, 2015 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24018.
