World War II Naval Veteran Dies At Age 92

Albert Lewis Clark, 92, of Eagle Rock, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleander Vest Clark; and parents, Elbert and Annie Clark.

He was a World War II U. S. Navy Veteran serving in the Atlantic, Pacific, and North African Theatres on numerous naval ships.

Mr. Clark was a member of the Virginia Bear Hunters and National Plott Hound Associations.

He is survived by his son, Allan Clark; grandchildren, Sheila, Audrey, and William Clark; brothers, Edward "Mickey" (Dorothy) Clark and Junior (Ella) Clark; sister, Penny (Raymond) Aaron.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry A. Marsh officiating.

Interment will follow in Eagle Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. (254-3000).
