Nellie Carolyn (Sissy) Gillispie, age 74 of 4414 Midland Trial, Covington, Virginia, died Friday January 29, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.

She was born July 25, 1941 in Hot Springs, Virginia, to the late James Owen and Nellie Gray Gillispie.

Nellie was a former employee of Holiday Inn in Covington in the housekeeping department.

She is survived by a sister, Deloris McCaleb; a brother, Bobby Gillispie; her niece, Sherry Shaw; four nephews, Brian McCaleb, Michael McCaleb, John Gillispie and Bobby Lee Gillispie; her great nieces and nephews, Heather Hicks, Courtney Vess, Jared Gillispie, Charles Bryan Gillispie and Adam Gillispie.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be laid to rest beside her mommie and daddy at Fletchers Chapel Cemetery in a private family service. She will be greatly missed.
