U. S. Air Force Veteran Was Former Owner Of Double C Restaurant, C&B Golf

Mr. Charles Tronstein (Chuck) Hall, Sr., age 82, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was the husband of Bonnie Nicely Hall.

Mr. Hall was born June 10, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Charles Tronstein Hall and Ruth Appler Hall.

Chuck served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

A resident of this community for thirty-five years, he was the former owner of the Double C Restaurant and C & B Golf. Chuck was an avid golfer.

He was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie Nicely Hall, Mr. Hall is survived by a son, Charles Tronstein Hall, Jr. and wife, Sarah of Covington; four grandchildren, Charles T. Hall, III, Courtney J. Hall, Kaylee L. Hall and Tracey W. Hall, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Pete Nicely and wife, Sally; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles Tronstein Hall and Ruth Appler Hall, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a son, Tracy W. Hall.

The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
