Mildred Spitler Watts, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, February 7, 2016.

She was born January 27, 1924, daughter of Hubert Spitler and Nellie Gibson Spitler and was the widow of John McCurdy Watts.

She was also preceded in death by her wonderful son, James Hubert Watts.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Drema Waters and husband, Gary of Bristol, Va., the Watts family and all of her great friends.

At her request, there will be no service and her body was donated to the Virginia Anatomical Program.

She said that if anyone would wish to make a memorial, do something for someone who has a need, and remember the animals.
