Mr. Eddie Lee Helmintoller, Jr., age 40, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, February 19, 2016, at his residence.

He was the husband of Lisa Marie Helmintoller.

Mr. Helmintoller was born February 2, 1976 in Alleghany County, the son of Lois George Helmintoller McLaughlin and the late Eddie Lee Helmintoller, Sr.

A lifetime resident of this community, he had worked as a welder.

Eddie was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, Lisa Marie Helmintoller, Mr. Helmintoller is survived by two daughters, Cheynne Nicole Helmintoller and Alyssa Cole Helmintoller; his mother, Lois George McLaughlin and husband, Doug of Hardy; his grandmother, Ruby Lowry; two brothers, Matthew Helmintoller and wife, Elizabeth Ann of Roanoke and Charles Chittum of Covington; four brothers-in-law, Jason Broughman and wife, Renee of Low Moor, Billy Broughman, Bobby Broughman, Jr. and David Broughman and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Eddie Lee Helmintoller, Sr., Mr. Helmintoller was preceded in death by his grandparents, Madelin Helmintoller and Bowyer Helmintoller and great grandmothers, Ollie Carpenter and Virgie Huddleston.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.. Monday, February 22, 2016, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Helmintoller Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from noon until service time at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Vickie Broughman, 203 Crossing Lane, Low Moor.
