Obituary for Reginald Leon (Scottie) Scott Reginald Leon (Scottie) Scott
U. S. Army Veteran Worked With Adams Construction

Reginald Leon (Scottie) Scott, age 80, of 86 Hanover Avenue NW, Roanoke, Virginia, and formerly of Millboro, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem.

He was born May 23, 1935 in Bath County to the late Eugene and Nan Flood Scott.

He served in the United States Army and was a laborer for Adams Construction.

He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Millboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Miner.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Robena Brown Scott of Roanoke; two daughters, Teresa M. Scott of Clifton Forge and Yvette Marshall and husband, Hubert of Roanoke; three sons, Jeffrey Leon Scott of Covington, Calvin V. Scott of Roanoke, and Donald Scott of Roanoke; three sisters, Rosa Scott-Johnson and husband, Russell of Millboro, Agnes Chappell of Philadelphia, and Ella Cabiness of Danville; three grandchildren, Denny Scott, Kenneth Scott, and Donovan Scott-Davis, all of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Noah Williams, who lived with him and helped with his care.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Matthew T. Barnette officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Millboro. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by members of the Curtis A. Smith Post #1033 VFW.

The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
